DOSAGE
- An eucalyptus tea is prepared with 3 or 4 leaves, infused for ten minutes in a cup of boiling water. You can drink up to 3 cups a day, in case of bronchitis.
Eucalyptus essential oil requires some precautions. It should not, for example, be used internally without medical advice. In addition, over time, ingesting eucalyptus can have a harmful effect on the kidneys. This is why its use must be done with caution, in the case of urinary tract infection, with the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Eucalyptus, and particularly its essential oil, is contraindicated for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as for young children.
SIDE EFFECTS
In rare cases, the use of eucalyptus can cause nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. These side effects are always transient.
