In the Bois-Salair forest, at the exit of the village of Fontaine-Daniel, is the Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God.

The monastic community lives there according to the traditional rule of Orthodox monasticism punctuated by personal prayer alternating with liturgical prayer and work.

To ensure our subsistence, a small artisanal candlestick allows us to make beeswax candles in the traditional way.

ABOUT US

The community, installed since January 2014, is under the homophore of His Eminence Monsignor Luka, bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

VESPERS OFFICE

The monastery opens its doors to the public every day at 5:30 p.m. for the office of vespers and on Sundays for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
